Coffee, coffee, and more coffee! We had a packed but successful Memorial Day weekend. We started by going on a little family fishing trip Friday night to Boone lake. Joshua is in a big brother program, so we got to take his “little brother” and guide him through catching a fish, which literally made his night. It was awesome.
Saturday we did some duties at home, ran some errands, and ended the day at Warriors Path with the little man. He got all of his energy out, made some new friends, and mom and dad had a great night’s rest!
Sunday we had church in the morning and a wedding in the afternoon. It was the first wedding I’ve attended at The Barnes at Chip Ridge. If you are looking for a venue, you should definitely consider looking there. It was beautiful. We danced the night away and then helped with clean up so we didn’t get home until after midnight! I’m practically a grandma these days, I don’t think I’ve been at a social event until midnight in like 10 years (I’m being a little dramatic). Joshua and I stayed up a little longer talking until we were too sleepy to talk anymore (I love those nights), but it left us feeling SUPER tired when little man was up Monday morning at 7 a.m. No sleeping in at this house!
Monday, Joshua had to tend to a rental property as soon as his feet hit the floor. Adler and I got ready for our day in VA while we waited on him. Adler and Joshua spent their morning with his parents. Adler’s Mimi had him Mickey Mouse waffles waiting on him, which he loved. Later we cooked out at my parents house and took turns riding Adler and his cousins on my Honda 90. My sister and I also may have had a little photo session (she is basically me in a 16 year old body, so we are dangerous together).
Joshua topped off our night with a speeding ticket on the way home. Poor thing. Never the less, we made it home safe and sound. Our heads couldn’t hit the pillow soon enough. I hope you all had a great Memorial Day as well (might I mention speed ticketless) 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
