Coffee, coffee, and more coffee! We had a packed but successful Memorial Day weekend. We started by going on a little family fishing trip Friday night to Boone lake. Joshua is in a big brother program, so we got to take his “little brother” and guide him through catching a fish, which literally made his night. It was awesome. There’s so many reasons I love Easter! It is such a sacred and joyous day! My little family and I had a slow morning eating breakfast and getting ready. We allowed enough time to get some pictures before we left home, because after church is pure chaos! We were blessed to attend an awesome church service where we were fed The Word and were able to sing Praise and Worship! Wouldn’t it be awesome to start out every day like that?!
After church we headed to Joshua’s parents where his mom always spoils us with a homemade Easter meal. We all enjoyed each other’s company around the dinner table. Later we had our first swim of the season (in the heated pool I might add!) We napped, played outside, and ate some more! Life with a toddler makes these memories so much more! Watching Adler interact with his cousins, discover Easter eggs are not balls after all, insist on wearing his bunny ears, and laugh at water being splashed, ahhhh! Does it get any better?
Goodness! I am still recovering from the weekend of activities with our families. I’m sure you all had your own busy weekends. Though they are tiring, they make my heart full! Continue reading “Good Friday”
It’s hump day and it has been a busy week! Joshua and I have been working on a flip house we’ve purchased with his brother. It has definitely been a lot of work! However, it’s rewarding to me to see it becoming transformed. It reminds me of Christ’s love for us. When we appear to be run down and useless on the outside, he’s a God of second chances and sees our inner potential. He paid a price to transform us and uses us for good when our lives have been foreclosed on.
I couldn’t be more excited to share a new look with you today! I found this romper at Francescas in Johnson City mall. If you haven’t heard of them, I first discovered them in Knoxville mall. I was super excited they made their way here! They have the cutest pieces! You should definitely drop in your next time at the mall. They also have a location at The Pinnacle in Bristol! Enjoy and have a blessed Wednesday!!
Happy Friday everyone! I love the way that sounds :). It puts me in such a good mood. I’m so looking forward to the weekend and I know you are too! Tomorrow I have TWO baby showers to attend. I can’t wait to celebrate with these expecting mommas and dear friends.
With showers in mind, I thought I would share this dress. If you can get past my pasty self and not be blinded by my pale skin, you can see how fabulous this dress is! I found it online at Red Dress Boutique. They have been a favorite of mine for a couple of years now. I have gotten some great stuff from them. They do free returns and in store credit to those of you questionable about ordering online :). It’s off the shoulder with a sweetheart cut and gorgeous detailing. What is not to love?! Also starring in this post, are once again my new favorite wedges. These are going to be a Spring and Summer favvv! Have a great day everyone!!
