Pink Flamingos

It’s been a couple weeks since our trip to Florida and I’ve been doing some reminiscing. There’s one thing I know for sure, and that is you cannot go to the beach without eating at a good Seafood restaurant! We arrived in St. Augustine late on a Thursday afternoon and did not feel like driving much more. We decided it would be a good night for some local seafood, so we asked around to find the best one. We were in luck! We landed at St. Mary’s Seafood restaurant. Joshua got the cat-fish and I had the crab cakes (my seafood favorite). It was soooo yummy! Our sides were bacon mac n’ cheese and cream corn. This rarely happens, but I ALMOST ate every bite. We were very pleased with our experience there! Continue reading “Pink Flamingos”

Easter Sunday

There’s so many reasons I love Easter! It is such a sacred and joyous day! My little family and I had a slow morning eating breakfast and getting ready. We allowed enough time to get some pictures before we left home, because after church is pure chaos! We were blessed to attend an awesome church service where we were fed The Word and were able to sing Praise and Worship! Wouldn’t it be awesome to start out every day like that?!

After church we headed to Joshua’s parents where his mom always spoils us with a homemade Easter meal. We all enjoyed each other’s company around the dinner table. Later we had our first swim of the season (in the heated pool I might add!) We napped, played outside, and ate some more! Life with a toddler makes these memories so much more! Watching Adler interact with his cousins, discover Easter eggs are not balls after all, insist on wearing his bunny ears, and laugh at water being splashed, ahhhh! Does it get any better?

First of all I have a slight obsession with blush and I know it may be a problem. But in honor of love and because I don’t love red as much as pink, here are some Valentine’s Day inspired gift ideas for all you men and women out there tired of spending $50 on flowers that get thrown away! For mine and my husband’s first Valentines Day I slowly opened a nicely wrapped box to receive a pair of new Nike tennis shoes. I was a little speechless to say the least (we were freshly dating). I liked them. I guess! He went on to explain that if he was going to spend money on me for Valentine’s Day, he wanted it to be on something that would last and I could use over and over.
Now before you get your panties in a wad and become all judgemental, he has since bought me flowers and chocolate and treated me to a romantic dinner. However, sometimes it’s nice to switch things up a bit! So ladies, here’s a list of some things you can ask your man for this year instead flowers! And men, surprise your lady with a little thoughtful gift this year as opposed to the  alternative! You can just call me cupid 😉
I hope everyone has a great Valentines!
P.S. if you’re single, buy one of these cute things for yourself!
