Turning Two

We are getting ready to celebrate our first-born turning TWO! This is a big year for him. He’s going to become a big brother within two weeks of his Birthday! Hopefully he handles it well…(my fingers are crossed). We are celebrating him a little early this year just in case baby brother comes sooner than expected. I am going to share all of the details of his dinosaur party soon! Until then enjoy these pictures from our little photo session!

Lenny Lemons

Cheers to a New Year! My New Years Resolution? To take more time for myself to continue blogging like I love. As I mentioned before, my pregnancy has NOT been blog friendly. I haven’t gotten to document these past few months quiet like I’ve wanted.

On another note, we brought in the New Year in Sevierville, TN this year. We go every year and either stay in a cabin or at The Wilderness with a whole lot of family! The highlight of this year’s trip? Getting to take our little man on a Jurassic BoatAdventure. He is in a huge dinosaur phase right now.

We set out with no location in mind and stumbled on this new attraction. It was snowing outside so we stayed bundled, but the boat took us on an indoor adventure. It could be scary for smaller children. Adler was too fascinated to be scared. I’d recommend going if you’re there and in need for short entertainment. It’s probably not something adults would enjoy on their own. We finished our outing at Little Tokyo Hibachi grill where Adler got to watch a hibachi chef for the first time. Our food was great! I’d highly recommend eating there. Overall, it was a good day!

I’m featuring our mom and me hats in this post from Lenny Lemons. It took us about a month to receive them in the mail only because their company ships from China. I think they were worth the wait, however, order them in advance if you are wanting a set for yourself.

Adler Kade

It has been a hot minute friends! I sure have missed getting to blog, life has just had other plans lately! I plan on doing a whole other post to update you on that one!

As for today, can we just talk about how much I love this boy. I have had A LOT of emotional ups and downs during his two years of existence, but the love I have for him is unexplainable. He’s getting at such a fun age. I love seeing his personality shine through!! It’s hard dressing boys sometimes and I don’t think I will be dressing a girl any time soon (since baby 2 is also a boy)! Thankfully Adler is a good sport, he loves hats all on his own (proud mom moment).

I’m sharing his toddler style with you on the blog today. Since we are on the topic of his personality, I was telling him not to walk down the stairs without me. This is the mischievous grin I got from him ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š.

Easter Sunday

There’s so many reasons I love Easter! It is such a sacred and joyous day! My little family and I had a slow morning eating breakfast and getting ready. We allowed enough time to get some pictures before we left home, because after church is pure chaos! We were blessed to attend an awesome church service where we were fed The Word and were able to sing Praise and Worship! Wouldn’t it be awesome to start out every day like that?!

After church we headed to Joshua’s parents where his mom always spoils us with a homemade Easter meal. We all enjoyed each other’s company around the dinner table. Later we had our first swim of the season (in the heated pool I might add!) We napped, played outside, and ate some more! Life with a toddler makes these memories so much more! Watching Adler interact with his cousins, discover Easter eggs are not balls after all, insist on wearing his bunny ears, and laugh at water being splashed, ahhhh! Does it get any better?
